County Wide: Congregate and Home Delivered Meal Program, meals are served Monday through Friday.  The Osceola and Stromsburg Centers have Home Delivered meals on the weekends supplied by the nursing facilities.  Holiday and Special Meals. Potluck meals once per month.  Exercise and Nutrition Programs in all centers.  Regular free blood pressure checks by Polk County Health Department. Pool and Pitch tournaments each month. Senior Companion Program for older adults to keep independent in their own homes.

 

Center Activities:

Osceola Center- 402-747-8227  340 N State Street, Osceola, Nebraska

Busy wheel transportation, Chair Aerobics Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10:00 am, Bingo, Cards, Pool, Evening Card Parties, Home Delivered weekend meals, birthday parties, puzzles and much more.  Hours-9 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday except holidays.

 

Stromsburg Center-402-764-8227 or 402-764-2252 118 E 3rd, Stromsburg, Nebraska.  Pool, Cards, Puzzles, Dominoes, Shuffleboard, Card Recycling daily. Bingo on Fridays, Bridge on second Monday, Community Coffee every third Monday morning, Blood Pressure every third Tuesday morning, Exercise Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings, Birthday and Anniversary parties last Friday afternoon, and Potluck once per month.  Ladies chorus, and pool and pitch tournaments.  Busy wheels available daily during the week. Hours-8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Fridays except holidays.

 

Polk Center-402765-2311, 230 N Main, Polk, Nebraska.  Pool, cards, puzzles, dominoes, morning coffee.  and telecare.  Bingo on 1st Wednesday, Cards or Dominoes every Tuesday afternoon, exercise on Mondays and Thursdays and Birthday Party every other month on the 3rd Friday.  Potluck, Pool and  Pitch tournaments. Hours-9am to 3 pm Monday through Friday except holidays.

 

Shelby Center-402-527-5158, 230 N Walnut, Shelby, Nebraska. Puzzles, cards, recycle cards, and pool.  Bingo and Birthday cake every 3rd Friday, Bridge Monday mornings, Blood Pressure every 2nd Tuesday, call chamber every 2nd Wednesday and Exercise on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Potluck, Pool and Pitch tournaments. Hours 9 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday except holidays.
