The Polk County Treasurer’s Office is located on the second floor of the Courthouse in Osceola, NE. The office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The office is open during the noon hour.
Duties of the Treasurer’s Office:
- To collect all revenues for the County
- To bill and collect all real estate and personal taxes in the county
- Issue titles for motor vehicles,
- Register all motor vehicles with tax situs in Polk County
- To issue driver licenses, C.D.L.’s, learner permits, I.D. cards, school permits, etc.
- To disburse collections to the proper political subdivisions
- Boat registrations
- Snowmobile registrations
